Sports Events

You can get your heart pumping at sports events in Lawrence, whether you are cheering from the crowd or joining in the competition. 

College sports events are taking place throughout the year at Lawrence's two universities. Haskell Indian Nations University has eleven sports teams and the University of Kansas - home of the Jayhawks - has sixteen NCAA Division I sports teams. 

Our outdoor recreational spaces and active community are perfect for those who want to get in on the action. Get your running shoes, your bicycle, your golf clubs, or your fishing pole ready... there's a sports event coming up with your name all over it!
