Clinton State Park

Choose your own adventure at Clinton State Park. This beautiful 1500-acre park is just outside of city limits in the Southwest corner of Lawrence and provides an abundance of outdoor recreation and enjoyment. The park sits on the north shore of Clinton Lake. For a $5-6 vehicle fee, your entire carload gains access to:

  • 25 miles of hiking and biking trails
  • 5-mile cross country ski trail
  • Archery range
  • 18-hole disc golf course
  • Swim beach (open seasonally)
  • Sand volleyball court
  • Mountain bike skills course
  • 3-acre trout pond
  • 1-acre children's fishing pond

  • 2 fish feeders

  • Clinton Marina

Camping at Clinton State Park

Clinton State Park has hundreds of reservable camping sites from primitive to full-service with water and electricity. 

There are also six cabins (with a view). All but one of the cabins sleeps six people, and the other one sleeps up to eight. If you're traveling with pets, be sure to reserve the Elk Creek Cabin.

Clinton Lake and more

As mentioned, Clinton State Park sits on the north shore of Clinton Lake. The lake and the rest of the land surrounding it are operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers.
