See Kansas Art Project on display at the Lawrence Visitors Center

Lawrence, KS, January 23, 2023 – The first “Final Fridays” of the year is this Friday, January 27.  Final Fridays is a free monthly arts festival where Lawrence artists, galleries, and local businesses present arts and culture events. The collection of events takes place on the last Friday of every month, all year long, between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM.

The Lawrence Visitors Center is hosting “SEE Kansas”, a Parks & Green Spaces Art Project. Nine Kansas artists celebrate iconic Kansas sites with designs of familiar outdoor spaces like the Kansas River National Water Tail, the Konza Prairie, and the Nicodemus National Historic SiThe WPA National Parks posters of the 1930s and ‘40s inspire the designs ‘40s. The nine artworks shine a light on the readily available natural and historic spaces nearby.
