Reimagined Downtown Summer Sale debuts on June 23rd
The long-standing Summer Sidewalk Sale has been reimagined by Downtown Lawrence, Inc. (DLI) with a new, earlier date of June 23rd and a new name: Mid Summer Night on Mass. The event will feature sidewalk-style sales from local retailers and restaurants and special entertainment on the side
streets. Although businesses can start their sales and promotions at any time during the day, the featured events will occur from 4 pm to 10 pm
“The goal is to reinvigorate the event. We think that a later start time and inviting all businesses in the downtown district will appeal to more of our downtown guests, “says DLI Board Member and Arizona Trading Company owner Jennifer McKnight. “The DLI Events Committee has given a lot of thought into making this a more vibrant and inclusive event.”
In addition to a range of retail sales and restaurant specials, various businesses will host live music and entertainment with expanded street areas.
