The Downtown Lawrence, Inc.(DLI) Board of Directors is pleased to announce Andrew Holt as the new Executive Director. DLI is a not-for-profit membership organization of downtown Lawrence businesses. The Board conducted a thorough search for the position after the resignation of longtime director Sally Zogry, in late 2022.
Holt most recently served as Director of the Downtown Association of Yakima, Washington, and has been involved in Main Street Program in Dayton and Walla Walla, Washington. He brings over ten years of experience managing and running main street organizations.
“The DLI Board is excited to bring Andrew to Lawrence. He brings a wealth of experience and a refreshing perspective to our downtown. Our member businesses and the entire community will be well-served by his leadership and industry experience” said DLI Board Vice President Mike Logan.
“We were not surprised to receive applications from so many great candidates that were interested in serving Downtown Lawrence. Andrew’s understanding of the dynamics of a business association and the unique issues facing downtown set him apart.” Stated Jennifer McKnight, DLI Board Secretary.
Holt was born and raised south of Los Angeles, California. He moved to the Pacific Northwest in the mid 90’s to work in radio. He has worked in Walla Walla as the Tourism Service Manager, the Dayton Chamber of Commerce, and the Downtown Association of Yakima. Holt will begin his work for DLI on April 10th.
