Lawrence, KS, November 29, 2022 - eXplore Lawrence, the official tourism organization for Lawrence, Kansas, has launched the Kaw Valley Craft Pass. This free gamified mobile pass gives locals and visitors a fun way to discover local craft beverages and the people and places that create them.

The Kaw Valley Craft Pass includes all wineries and breweries in Douglas County. As visitors check in at participating locations and redeem available offers, they earn points that can be exchanged for prizes, including Kaw Valley Craft Pass buttons, bottle openers, wine stoppers, and the Unmistakably Lawrence Bucket Hat.

The Kaw Valley Craft Pass is the latest in eXplore Lawrence’s newest initiative, Lawrence Passports. Lawrence Passports are free gamified mobile passes that encourage users to get out and explore Lawrence and the region while unlocking discounts and earning prizes. eXplore Lawrence works with technology partner, Bandwango to create and power the Lawrence Passports.

The first pass, the Lawrence Bucket List, launched in August 2022 and runs through March 2023. It includes nearly 70 Lawrence points of interest and opportunities to win prizes, including the Unmistakably Lawrence Bucket Hat and a Lawrence Bucket List getaway package.

Users can visit explorelawrence.com/passports to sign up for passes by providing their name, e-mail address, and mobile phone number. A link is then sent to their mobile phone, which opens the passport and directs the user to add the button icon to their home screen, where they can access it anytime. There is never anything to download, and no bulky apps take up space on a user’s phone.

Once the user is ready to use their pass, they simply check in through their mobile phone at a participating location.
