It’s marathon season! The Kansas Half Marathon and 5K is coming back to Lawrence at the start of the moth. Runners can choose between a half marathon and 5k, and kids are welcome to join the Kids Fun Run. The race will take participants through Lawrence before finishing downtown. Lights, Football, Community: Haskell Memorial Stadium Turns 100
Watkins Museum of History | Ongoing
This is part of an ongoing exhibit at the Watkins running through January, but now is a good time to go see it before the holidays get busy. The exhibit tells the story of the traveling football team that didn’t have a place to call home, and how support for the team turned into one of the largest Intertribal gatherings in history.

Take Me For A Ride Storytime
Lawrence Public Library | November 3 and 6
This is one of the more popular events for storytime at the Lawrence Public Library. These sessions on November 3 and 6 will feature, stories, songs, and crafts about public transportation. But the real treat is the end of storytime finishing with taking the kids for a ride on one of the Lawrence city buses. If you’ve got a little one at home, this could potentially turn into a core memory for them (it did with my kids!).

Lyle Lovett and his acoustic group

Lyle Lovett will be bringing songs from his extensive discography when he stops by the Lied Center of Kansas this month with his acoustic group.
