Lawrence and Douglas County residents and businesses have worked hard to contain the spread of COVID-19 in our community.  The Lawrence Douglas County Public Health Department has provided clear and excellent guidance and our community has responded appropriately each time to help slow the spread. 
 
We are in the midst of our third significant increase in the rate of cases since the start of the pandemic. This time we are met with additional challenges that come with cooler fall and winter weather and the upcoming holidays. Together we can once again slow the spread of COVID-19 in Lawrence and Douglas County and keep our community open, but we must all do our part. In an effort to reverse the  upward trend in cases we present the LAWRENCE PROMISE SLOW THE SPREAD CHALLENGE and all who live, work, and play in Lawrence and Douglas County are invited to participate!
