Sporting Kansas City II, Lawrence’s professional soccer team, is back for a second season at Rock Chalk Park!
Playing in MLS NEXT Pro, Sporting Kansas City’s second team features talented academy products, first team loanees, and future world-class superstars! Led by United States Men’s National Team staple, Benny Felihaber, and two-time MLS Defender of the Year, Ike Opara, SKC II has been hard at work bolstering the roster from a year ago. With seven new teams, four more matches, no draws, and a brand-new- playoff format, the 2023 MLS NEXT Pro season promises to be exhilarating and exciting! After a solid inaugural season in MLS NEXT Pro, SKC II will look to capture all the glory with Rock Chalk Park as the backdrop.
SKC II’s home opener is Sunday, April 2nd, against Austin FC II with another home match the following week against Los Angeles FC II.
